By | September 25, 2015

On September 25, 2015, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) launched the Class Member Locator. OFCCP Director Patricia Shiu announced the Class member Locator at the OFCCP’s 50th Anniversary event at the Department of Labor headquarters. It is intended to identify applicants and/or workers who may have been impacted by OFCCP compliance reviews and complaint investigations, and may be entitled to monetary relief and/or consideration for job placement. The Class Member Locator can be found at: http://www.dol.gov/ofccp/CML/index.htm.

The Class Member Locator lists all contractor locations that have entered into conciliation agreements with financial remedies for discrimination that are in the process of locating class members. Each contractor listing includes the contractor name, city, state, time-period covered, the affected groups, job titles included, the deadline for contacting OFCCP, and links to a case summary, a redacted copy of the conciliation report, OFCCP contact information specific to the case, and a news release if applicable. Individuals who believe they are part of an affected class are encouraged to contact the OFCCP immediately. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), which cycle on the main page, instruct potential class members on what information should be provided to the OFCCP to help determine whether they are a member of the affected class. The FAQs also state contactors that enter into monetary settlements will not be able to negotiate to be excluded from the Class Member Locator.
