OFCCP Posts New Outreach and Education Poster

By | August 3, 2015

On August 3, 2015, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) announced a new outreach and education poster. The email announcement states that it was developed based on feedback received during stakeholder listening sessions. It is important to note that federal contractors are not required to display this poster. The poster can be found at: http://www.dol.gov/ofccp/regs/compliance/AgencyPoster_JRF_QA_508c.pdf.

The email from the OFCCP states that the poster was, “[d]eveloped to increase public awareness of OFCCP and its mission”. The poster has three large quotes about how companies doing business with the federal government: strengthen America’s middle class by hiring a diverse workforce, must treat workers fairly and without discrimination, and must pay all workers fairly. The regulations, however, do not use the term ‘fairly’ with regard to treatment of employees or compensation, nor do the regulations require employers to hire a ‘diverse workforce’.
