OFCCP Settles With Meyer Tool, Inc. for $325,000

In a news release issued September 17, 2012, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) announced a settlement with Meyer Tool in the amount of $325,000 in back wages to a class of 60 African-American applicants rejected for an entry level position.  The news release can be found here: http://www.dol.gov/opa/media/press/ofccp/OFCCP20121804.htm#.ULdzcoaBxis.

Meyer Tool entered into a consent judgment with the OFCCP, agreeing to pay $325,000 in back wages and interest to the class of 60 rejected African-American applicants, and to extend at least 11 job offers as positions become available to members of the original class. They have also agreed to maintain employment records, provide equal opportunity training to those employees involved in hiring, and submit progress reports for the next two years.
