In a news release issued March 15, 2012, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) announced a settlement of $100,000 with NCS Pearson to resolve allegations of hiring discrimination against Asians. Under the terms of the Conciliation Agreement between NCS Pearson and the OFCCP, the company will pay $100,000 in back wages and interest to a class of 67 Asian applicants who were rejected for the associate software developer position and will offer associate software developer positions and retroactive seniority to at least four class members as positions become available. The company will also revise its hiring policies and practices to ensure compliance.
